La Manga del Mar Menor

Before we came to Tao Garden in 1997 we spent part of the year in Spain on the beach in a lovely house. We both love it, it is situated on a peninsula about 100 km south of Alicante. The house views the Mar Menor, big inner lake that separates the La Manga (peninsula) from and the mainland which is about 10 km away. The direction of the La Manga is south/north for this we enjoy stunning sun rises and sun sets over the ocean.

At night we can see the north star and the big dipper wonderfully clear almost above us. The special brightness of the sunlight has always been inviting many painters to the Spanish coast. July and August is the most busiest time of the year but the climate is in general very mild and pleasant all year around.

Many people feel attracted to La Manga because of its uniqueness.
The beach of the Mar Menor (inner lake) in front of the house is about 25 meters away and the Mar Mediterranean beach, 20 km long, is about 150 meters away.

The house has one 2 bedroom apartment viewing Mar Menor and one studio on the gound floor and we have a caretaker couple who lives in the house. Both apartments are fully equipped. The 2 bedroom apartment has an integrated dishwasher in the kitchen and 2 toilets. The studio is suitable for 1 or 2 persons, it has a small kitchen for preparing light meals and a spacious bathroom. It is situated away from any busy zone, it is very peaceful and serene with no cars passing as the small drive way ends in front of the house. However shops and restaurants are located in walking distance to both sides.
